The Transistor Story so Far
Transistor.fm was co-founded in 2018 by Justin Jackson and Jon Buda, and officially launched on August 1, 2018.The platform was designed to help creators publish and share their podcasts more efficiently. Before its inception, both founders had experience in the tech and podcasting industries:
- Justin Jackson: A marketer and podcaster passionate about helping small businesses and creators.
- Jon Buda: A software engineer and experienced podcaster who had already built platforms like Simplecast.
In 2021, They hired Helen and Jason. In 2023, we hired Josh and Michael.
Today, they serve over 26,000 podcasts of all types. The customers include indie podcasters, small businesses, and enterprise companies.
Transistor.fm contributed to making podcast creation more accessible, encouraging creators of all sizes to share their stories. Its scalable pricing plans and user-friendly interface supported everyone, from hobbyists to professional podcasters. Today, it continues to be a prominent player in the podcast hosting ecosystem.
